The ISS Explorer is an interactive tool designed for in-depth exploration of the different components that make up the International Space Station (ISS). Users can engage with a 3D model of the ISS, enabling them to rotate, zoom in, and select specific parts.
Upon launching the application, users are greeted with a comprehensive view of the entire ISS, complete with categorized labels. Navigation tabs are conveniently located on the left side of the interface, offering access to information, hierarchical structure, customizable settings, and application details. This setup allows users to zoom in on various sections of the station, revealing additional labels for enhanced clarity. Furthermore, the station can be rotated to provide viewpoints from different perspectives. Selecting a specific part triggers its isolation, enabling users to concentrate on examining individual components. Detailed information pertaining to the selected part is displayed in the information tab.
Within the hierarchical structure tab, users can toggle parts on or off, enable or disable labels for components, adjust transparency levels of parts, and focus on specific elements. The systematic organization of parts allows for a detailed presentation of various systems such as trusses, modules, and external platforms.
The Information tab serves as a repository of details concerning the currently isolated part, system overview, or the entire ISS when viewed in its entirety.
